Defense Technology has introduced a new formulation for the First Defense line of OC aerosols. These levels will provide you the options to address the various threats encountered in your area of responsibility.

Defense Technology has developed a color coded system to identify the intensity levels of its various formulas. The numbers within the colored bands represent the major capsaicinoid levels for that formula.

.2% White Band
.2 Was created from the classic First Defense formula. .2% represents the major capsaicinoid level which is discharged at the nozzle at time of use. This formulation has been tested and is non-flammable and Electronic Discharge Weapon (EDW) safe.

.4% Yellow Band
.4% is reminiscent of the First Defense X2 spray. .4% represents the major capsaicinoid level which is discharged at the nozzle at time of use. This formulation is the most popular nationwide among patrol patrol officers.

.7% Orange Band
.7% will be replacing the current 5.5% Pepper Mace formulation. .7% major capsaicinoid represents a non-flamable EDW safe formulation which is significantly more intense than previous formulations.

1.3% Red Band
Similar to the current LE-10 formulation, this formula is non-flamable and the most intense formula on the market today. It offers extreme intensity while not complicating the decontamination or liability issues.

Substitutions:

Classic First Defense is now .2% First Defense (White band)

X2 First Defense is now .4% First Defense (Yellow band)

5.5% Pepper Mace is now .7% First Defense (Orange band)

LE-10 formulation is now 1.3% First Defense (Red band)
