The ASP Triad DF Flashlight is the workhorse of duty lights and features a standard high-performance ASP 18650 battery. Its dual-fuel technology allows it to run on two CR123A single-use batteries as well. Machined from 6061 T6 aerospace aluminum, it features type III hard coat anodized matte black finish. It features premium components in its barrel including a Cree XPG LED, gold plated connectors, optical glass lens and polished aluminum reflector.

It uses a single pressure tail switch that activates 550 lumens white light with a single tap. With another tap, it switched to a low light mode of 15 lumens. It features an onboard indicator in its barrel to show real-time charge status. The flashlight comes with a battery storage case, wall adaptor, retractable charging cord, car adaptor and an adjustable/removable pocket clip packed in a zippered ballistic travel case.
