Life/Form Infant Tracheostomy Tube
The Infant Tracheostomy Tube assists the infant to breathe properly and more easily. The air goes inside and comes out through this tube and bypasses the mouth and nose. There are multiple reasons when this tracheostomy tube may be required by the infant; it can be a narrow airway, need for the long-term mechanical respiratory support from a ventilator etc. This infant tube is different from the adult tube as the neck’s size is very different.
The Infant Tracheostomy Tube is designed as per the infant’s neck as it is very short and hence there is significantly less working space, the trachea is pliable and can prove to be difficult to palpate, pleura’s dome extends into the neck, making it vulnerable to injury etc. It is an airway and management training equipment that is a vital part of the health care medical training. It can be used with the Life/form Infant Tracheostomy Care Manikin, Life/form Patient Education Tracheostomy Care Set, and Life/form Special Needs Infant.
