It is used to immobilize the body of the person during transportation to the hospital to reduce any further damage to the person. The backboard has a sturdy construction and can easily support the weight of an injured adult.

This is made to meet the demanding standards of rescue operations. The backboard can be folded from the center for easy storage in an ambulance. The load-carrying capacity of the backboard is 375 lbs. with the deployed dimension as follows: 74-1/4" L x 16" W x 1-3/4" thick.
