The Simulaids PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) Trainer is designed to let instructors focus on four major skill sets defined by the PHTLS course, offered by the National Registry for EMT (NREMT). The four main skill sets include: airway maintenance with basic and advanced adjuncts, IV therapy, I/O therapy, and chest trauma treatment. The PHTLS trainer manikin comes with all the necessary features for teaching the NREMT curriculum in specialized fields, which include pneumothorax reduction, manubrium I/O insertion, IV arm, intubation head with tongue edema and laryngospasm options. It has no electronic components or ECG capabilities. Manufactured by United States, the PHTLS trainer is available in easy to transport torso trainer unit as well as a full body unit.
