The Sirchie NARK II Mephedrone Bath Salts Reagent serves as a critical tool for law enforcement agencies in identifying mephedrone, the second configuration of synthetic stimulants commonly referred to as "bath salts." While not as prevalent as MDPV, this reagent provides a rapid and reliable means of detecting mephedrone in the field. It is recommended to conduct this test only after conducting the MDPV Reagent and receiving a negative result.

The Reagent after agitation of the third ampoule immediately yields a distinctive purple color, positively identifying mephedrone. Often disguised as everyday household substances like bath salts, stain removers, plant food, or glass cleaners, mephedrone presents a deceptive challenge in its packaging. It contains 10 tests, equipping law enforcement personnel with the necessary resources to combat the distribution of mephedrone effectively and safeguard public safety.
