Each Blood Alcohol Collection Kit contains all necessary materials and supplies to preserve liquid blood samples. It comes complete with instructions for use and all necessary forms, seals and certificates to establish chain-of-possession for evidentiary proceedings. These kits enable the responsible agency to collect and preserve multiple specimen samples and transport them to and from the designated laboratory. The specially-designed mailable container includes an absorbent material which has been approved by the Federal Express Blood/Urine Diagnostic shipping program. Established NIDA, Legal and Medical guidelines are satisfied.

This In-Vitro Blood Alcohol Kit differs from Kit 4990 in that it has two 10 ml Vacutainer® tubes containing 100 mg Sodium Fluoride and 20 mg Potassium Oxalate. It is designed to meet the requirements of those states mandating by law that the Sodium Fluoride preservative be at least 1% of the 10 ml blood sample. It contains instructions for use and necessary forms, seals and certificates to establish chain-of-possession.
