MMC Buprenorphine Drug Test

This Narcotic test is used for the presumptive substance identification of Buprenorphine HCL Subutex®.

MMC BUPRENORPHINE TEST

APPLICATION:

Used as a presumptive test to detect the presence of Buprenorphine.(Subutex) The test has a sensitivity; LDL (Lower Detection Level) of < 0,5 mg depending on the purity of the sample Take an ampule and note whether the crystals are still bright. In case they are dark colored, such ampules cannot be used Compare the color changes with the color indicated on the ampule (Each ampule can be used only once)

How to use the test:

Knock the unopened ampule several times against a hard surface-for example, the top of the table, for a few seconds. In this way, particles which may be sticking to the inside of the ampule wall will fall downwards. Remove the sealing cap and open the ampules as follows: Take the lower part of the ampule in the left hand, and take the top (upper part) between index finger and thumb and snap off at the fracture line by applying pressure to the side

There are two ways to finish the test:

• Transfer a little of the sample under examination into the plastic cap and put this cap on top of the opened ampule and turn the ampule upside-down so the material will fall down
• Keep the ampule in the upright position so that the substance is deposit on the bottom of the ampule. And transfer the suspected material into the ampule. Allow the suspected material and the reagents/granulate to mix. This can be achieved by tapping the ampoule with the finger or with a light shake. In case of the presence of Buprenorphine the crystals will turn into purple (within seconds). . In all cases the color change is fully developed within 1-2 minutes. A further elapse of time produces only a slight colour change depending of the color. The test should be evaluated after 1-2 minutes have elapsed.

SPECIFICITY: The presence of Buprenorphine is indicated by a change in color of purple. In addition various medicines can produce similar or different colors

STORAGE: How to store the ampules: The ampules should be protected from light and temperatures over 35 ºC. 95 ºF

SAFETY: Keep the ampules out of the reach of children. In case the crystals come in contact with the eyes, skin or clothes, the effected areas have to be rinsed with water

DISPOSAL: After use the ampules we recommend to dispose the test ampules into the bottle bank . Or in accordance with the waste Disposal regulations current in the country use
