The Rock Exotica Kootenay ULTRA Knot Passing Pulley is a compact and lightweight pulley that maintains the same capacity of the larger Kootenay-style pulleys. Ideal for complex reeving highline, this advanced pulley features two holes for tag lines, a dual bearing and other features. The large cutouts enable easy rigging for high-strength tie-off with a single locking screw, stowable within the axle. Designed for increased stability and effectiveness, this knot-passing pulley makes use of two independent sealed ball bearings.

It features two additional holes that separate tag lines and hoist lines and helps prevent spinning of the load and/or any interference with connectors. Manufactured by Rock Exotica, the original Kootenay knot passing pulley was first proposed by the legendary Arnor Larson in the late '80s.
