The United Shield ACH-MICH MIL - Mid Cut IIIA Ballistic Helmet has shock absorption properties against the low velocity impact EN397. This ballistic Helmet shares many of its features with the ACH/MICH helmet but exhibits a raised ear design for integration with the helmet-mounted night vision goggles, communications equipment, and gas masks. It has a removeable harness for cleaning and replacement, and uses a 7-pad system to enhance comfort and stability. It is made from para aramid material and is light in weight. It has been designed to ensure that the in-service PASGT helmet can easily be replaced. A four point harness is anchored to the shell with ballistic resistant bolts. The harness can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement.
