The Simulaids 1800 Tension Pneumothorax Simulator with Carry Bag is designed to assist emergency personnel in learning the life-saving techniques associated with pneumothorax injuries. It aids in proper needle insertion training that allows built-up pressure to escape the thorax. This life-size trainer accepts needle and thoracotomy in second intercostal space in the midclavical line or fifth intercostal space in the midaxillary line. The unit is delivered with foot pump assembly, 1 replacement 2-piece pleural chamber, ribcage, and soft life-like skin, plus a soft carry case. The pleural chamber can be used from both sides. The unit set does not include the procedural needle.
